Hibiscus Children's Center
We regularly donate our services, products and gift certificates to benefit a wide range of charitable organizations and causes. Hibiscus Children's Center, Is one of the many charitable organizations we support. Since opening in 1989, Hibiscus Children's Center has provided more than 100,000 safe nights for children in crisis. Their programs provide a continuum of care for children in our community and throughout the Treasure Coast and Palm Beach County. Through the support of the community, Hibiscus Children's Center continues to fight the devastating cycle of child abuse and protect our greatest resource...our children.
CASTLE
One of our favorite charities (and neighbors) is Castle. CASTLE is an acronym and stands for “Child Abuse Services, Training and Life Enrichment”, and identifies an organization that concentrates all its efforts on parenting services and preventive child educational training. CASTLE’s stated mission is to “improve the quality of family life and prevent child abuse and neglect by providing community education, support and resources for parents in need of assistance.” What separates CASTLE from other intervention services is that it concentrates its efforts towards identifying parenting crises while they are still in the “preventive” stage. All CASTLE’s programs are designed to prevent child abuse before it happens, rather than intervene. You can visit their site at: http://www.exchangecastle.org/
Homeless Family Center
We are also friends and supporters of The Homeless Family Center, which "helps families help themselves" by providing temporary emergency shelter to homeless singles and families. The new Stark Family building provides transitional housing to those families that need additional time to fix problems that caused their homelessness. They provide resources like employment counseling, case management, and budget counseling to help end homelessness. We offer free hair services to the clients of the Homeless Family Center, to help them with the confidence they need to obtain jobs and move forward. You can learn more about them at http://www.homelessfamilycenter.org/
Susan G. Komen for the Cure
Susan G. Komen fought breast cancer with her heart, body and soul. Throughout her diagnosis, treatments, and endless days in the hospital, she spent her time thinking of ways to make life better for other women battling breast cancer instead of worrying about her own situation. That concern for others continued even as Susan neared the end of her fight. Moved by Susan’s compassion for others and committed to making a difference, Nancy G. Brinker promised her sister that she would do everything in her power to end breast cancer forever.
That promise is now Susan G. Komen for the Cure®, the global leader of the breast cancer movement, having invested more than $1 billion since inception in 1982. As the world’s largest grassroots network of breast cancer survivors and activists, we’re working together to save lives, empower people, ensure quality care for all and energize science to find the cures. Thanks to events like the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure®, and generous contributions from our partners, sponsors and fellow supporters, we have become the largest source of nonprofit funds dedicated to the fight against breast cancer in the world.
